DMA’S at the Australian Open
The Australian Open brings with it a musical line-up of draw cards in 2019.
There are 15 days of live music at AO Live Stage at Birrarung Marr in January. Just a short walk from Rod Laver Arena, the sets include a mix of local and international musical heavy weights. After touring their For Now album last year, DMA’S will take the stage on Wednesday January 23 as the headline act.
Johnny Took, Tommy O’Dell and Matt Mason are behind the indie-rock band from Sydney. They first released single Delete in 2014, which has had more than nine million listens on Spotify. They followed it with a self-titled EP in the same year and their Hills End album the year after. In The Air and Do I Need You Now? from the latest album have also amassed a large play count. Often compared to British greats such as Oasis for their sound, DMA’S are a must-hear at this year’s stage.
Triple J darling Jack River will support the headline gig on the day with songs from her 2018 debut, Sugar Mountain.
Starts at 6pm.
