Picture yourself this New Year’s Eve soaking in a private pool on a Melbourne rooftop. Fireworks are popping off among the skyscrapers around you and your glass of bubbles is always full.
This is not a dream – this is Reunion Island Pool Club when it finally opens to the public for a ripper New Year's Eve party.
Reunion Island Pool Club is a long-time-coming inner-city sanctuary of plunge pools, palms and city views set atop the rooftop of Melbourne Central, formerly inner-city glamping spot St Jerome’s – The Hotel. It’s the new venture from Jerome Borazio of Laneway Festival, Ponyfish Island and Back Alley Sally’s.
Tickets for the party include bottomless Paul Louis Sparkling and Kirin beer – cash orders can be placed at the bar if you’d prefer a cocktail – and food courtesy of Easey’s, which includes tacos, a club sandwich or cheeseburger, mac'n'cheese bites and chicken wings. Private pools can be booked in advance for an additional fee. Melbourne DJ Jade Zoe – known for her genre-hopping sets – will hold it down on the turntables all night long.
One lucky punter also has the chance to win a package for four including entry, food, beverages and a pool for the duration of the party.
From 7pm to 1am.
